Calahonda and the surrounding area of our holiday home rental have many fantastic restaurants on their doorstep, all serving mouth-watering dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The problem you'll have is choosing where to go. Whether its Spanish Tapas, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Swiss, Mexican or traditional English fare, they're all here right on your doorstep.

The following images are just a small snapshot of the many places in and around Calahonda that we can personally recommend. Please note - Our recommendation is based on our personal experience, where we have found the quality of service, food and choice to be of a very good standard.

Things To Do

The area around Calahonda, Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella offer many things to do whilst on holiday. If you're looking to just relax, take in the sunshine and top up your Vit D levels, you have a superb pool area at La Siesta and the beautiful beaches of Calahonda to chill at.

Two local dive centres in Fuengirola and Marbella can take you out snorkelling and diving. Like to go fishing? Boats leave from Fuengirola daily and supply all equipment. The water park and zoo in Fuengirola is a must for the kids as is the waters sports at Royal Beach in Calahonda.

Golfing is big in this area of Spain, with many local courses offering good deals both summer and winter. There are three local gyms that you can pay ber day to use if you can't stay away. Club del Sol - tennis club, only 10 mins walk from the apartment, has 10 tennis courts.

Bars & Entertainment

Around Calahonda there are a number of bars to choose from, whether its a sports bar or for cocktails, all tastes are catered for.

We can personally recommend the Harp Bar, Dempseys (Dona Lola), Royal Beach (featured) in Calahonda. Davids Bar and Georges Bar in Riviera del Sol are also good for food and drinks.

If you like Cabarete, the MacDonald - Dona Lola resort in Calahonda have nightly performances, that are open to the general public, where packages often include dinner and a performance.

If you are in La Cala it's worth checking out Legends Show Bar, though booking is recommended. Also in La Cala is Biddy Mulligans which has a good atmosphere and is quite lively.

Needless to say, that by travelling to nearby Marbella and Fuengirola offers a much wider choice of bars and entertainment.
